Creating this piece was a journey of transformation, using the rich, hand-made Rocky Mountain #5 pigment to bring the feather to life. I delicately layered gentle blues and grays, allowing them to softly blend and transition into each other, capturing a sense of resilience and renewal. Each brushstroke and splash was intentional, imparting a feeling of lightness and upward movement that reflects a deep connection to nature's endless cycle.

This original watercolor is 5" x 10". The Saunders Waterford 300# paper is mounted on a wood panel. Finished with archival spray varnish and hand buffed with cold wax medium. Custom framed and ready to hang.
