As I painted this feather, I carefully chose deep blues and soft browns, letting them bleed into one another with gentle transitions that suggest motion and grace. My brushstrokes were deliberate yet fluid, allowing the edges to blur and create a natural softness, while adding spontaneous splatters and drips to express freedom and authenticity. Through this piece, I aimed to capture the strength and liberation we all carry within, visible even in something as delicate as a feather. — Shayna, August 2023
