In this piece, I used varying shades of blue and gentle washes to create a feather floating effortlessly on the canvas. The soft transitions and delicate layering of watercolor capture the lightness and grace, while the subtle splatters and drips add a playful touch. My brushstrokes are gentle yet intentional, giving the feather a sense of calm and natural order that I find truly soothing.
My color palette:
This original watercolor is 5" x 10". The Saunders Waterford 300# paper is mounted on a wood panel. Finished with archival spray varnish and hand buffed with cold wax medium. Custom framed and ready to hang.
