I chose a palette featuring my hand-made pigment, Rocky Mountain #6, to create earthy and calming tones in this piece. With delicate brushstrokes, I layered soft browns and gentle creams, allowing the curves of the feather to flow naturally and bring a sense of tranquility to the viewer. As the feather takes shape, subtle splatters and soft edges come together, crafting an experience that invites a gentle, soothing energy without needing words to convey it.

This original watercolor is 6" x 12". The Saunders Waterford 300# paper is mounted on a wood panel. Finished with archival spray varnish and hand buffed with cold wax medium. Custom framed and ready to hang.
