In this piece, I used deep indigo and soft white to create a feather that feels both delicate and strong. The gentle transitions and layered brushstrokes give it a sense of movement, as if it might lift off the canvas at any moment. The splatters and drips add a touch of spontaneity, suggesting a journey that is both grounded and free.
My color palette:
This original watercolor is 5" x 10". The Saunders Waterford 300# paper is mounted on a wood panel. Finished with archival spray varnish and hand buffed with cold wax medium. Custom framed and ready to hang.
