“Owl”

In this piece, I used the warm, earthy tones of my hand-made pigment, Rocky Mountain #5, to bring a sense of comfort and calm. The feather's gentle gradients and the bee’s soft edges are achieved through delicate layering and wet-on-wet techniques, creating a serene transition between elements. As I painted, the splatters and subtle drips seemed to echo the gentle embrace of nature, inviting a sense of serenity and connection to the world around us.
