I chose to use the hand-made pigment Rocky Mountain #6 for its earthy yet vibrant hues, giving the feather soft blues and warm browns that merge seamlessly across the surface. I enjoyed creating gentle transitions and delicate layers with varied brushstrokes, allowing the colors to dance across the feather's form. The subtle splatters and wisps suggest motion and renewal, capturing a sense of harmony and tranquility with each brushstroke.

This original watercolor is 5" x 10". The Saunders Waterford 300# paper is mounted on a wood panel. Finished with archival spray varnish and hand buffed with cold wax medium. Custom framed and ready to hang.
