In this painting, I've used delicate shades of earthy browns and subtle greys to bring the feathers to life, crafting each hue with hand-made pigment Marshall Fire #1. The gentle transitions and soft blends capture the essence of nature's quiet elegance, while the brushstrokes flow like a gentle breeze, adding a sense of balance and calm. As I layered the colors and allowed the occasional splatter and drip to appear, I wanted to create a space that invites reflection and a deeper connection to life's changes and new beginnings.

This original watercolor is 5" x 10". The Saunders Waterford 300# paper is mounted on a wood panel. Finished with archival spray varnish and hand buffed with cold wax medium. Custom framed and ready to hang.
