I crafted this piece using the soft, earthy tones of my hand-made pigment, Minnesota Lake #1, to capture the delicate essence of a feather. The gentle transitions and subtle layers create a feeling of openness and the lightness of beginnings, with tiny splatters and drips adding a sense of spontaneity and nurturing. My brushstrokes are deliberate yet fluid, allowing the feather to seem almost alive, capturing a quiet transformation and the deep connection we feel when nurturing something to its fullest potential.
