In this piece, I used my hand-made Rocky Mountain #6 pigment to achieve a balanced harmony of soft browns and deep blacks. The feather's delicate form is emphasized by subtle transitions and feathered edges, achieved with gentle brushstrokes and wispy splatters. As I painted, I felt a calm assurance take shape, as the flowing lines and earthy tones gently guide the viewer's eye, creating an inviting and serene presence that encourages a peaceful, open connection.
