I used my hand-made pigment, Minnesota Lake #1, to create a delicate feather that seems to float on the paper with soft transitions from rich charcoal to gentle sandy hues. Layering the paints, I let the brushstrokes guide me, creating an organic movement that feels both fragile and strong. The subtle splatters and drips add depth, capturing a moment of quiet strength like a whisper that carries more than words can say.

This original watercolor is 5" x 10". The Saunders Waterford 300# paper is mounted on a wood panel. Finished with archival spray varnish and hand buffed with cold wax medium. Custom framed and ready to hang.
