In this piece, I used the hand-made pigment Rocky Mountain #8 to bring warmth and depth to the feather’s gentle browns and siennas. I allowed the watercolor to naturally flow and blend, creating soft edges and subtle transitions that suggest movement and life. As I painted, I aimed for a simplicity that invites you to pause, letting your mind wander and connect with the delicate balance of nature depicted here.

This original watercolor is 5" x 10". The Saunders Waterford 300# paper is mounted on a wood panel. Finished with archival spray varnish and hand buffed with cold wax medium. Custom framed and ready to hang.
